NSO Elections

Elections for NSO officers and Region 2, 4, and 6 Directors will be held at the 2010 NSO Representative Assembly. These are two-year term position serving from June 12, 2010 to June 9, 2012.

Any active NSO member is eligible to run for an open position. In accordance with the NSO Constitution and Bylaws, “a candidate must submit a petition signed by at least three NSO members and submit such petition to the NSO Elections Chair no later than 10 a.m. on June 11, 2010.” (Article VIII, Section 1)

“Furthermore, any member may be nominated from the floor at the annual Representative Assembly, accompanied by a petition with the signature of three (3) members, for any officer to be so elected, provided the nominees are members in good standing of this Organization.” (Article VIII, Section 2)

Candidates Petitions

An election will be held at the 2010 Representative Assembly for the following NSO Executive Committee positions serving a two‐year term (June 12, 2010—June 9, 2012).

President

Vice President for Defense

Vice President for Program

Secretary

Treasurer

Region 2 Director

Region 4 Director

Region 6 Director

Any active NSO member is eligible to run for the above‐mentioned positions. In accordance with the NSO Constitution and Bylaws, a candidate must submit a petition signed by at least three NSO members and submit such petition to the NSO Elections Chair no later than June 11, 2010, 10 AM.
