President Brad Darjean announces a vacancy on the NSO Special Services Committee. This committee adds value in membership by offering information, benefits and services to NSO members and their families.
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND / SKILLS
- Interest and/or experience in the creation of Special Services program that provides benefits and services to NSO members and their families.
- Knowledge base of the vetting process used to create a pool of union friendly companies
- High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Ability to communicate timely, adhere to deadlines and work as team
DUTIES
- Attend Special Services virtual meetings and the All-Committee Weekend(s)
- Contribute to “off-line” work outside of official committee meetings
- Work with vendors & providers to procure benefits
- Provide hospitality services and information about local activities/attractions occurring during NSO events

I am interested in serving on this committee. I am on the New Member Committee of my local affiliate, Ohio PSU and have served as the lead on designing and implementing the “new member box” for recent hires into PSU.
I am interested in participating on the Special Services Committee. I was able to speak to the members of the committee about their job responsibilities at RA and I expressed my interest in becoming more involved. Please keep me posted on next steps in this process.
